The first thing after we delivered the package was to open the package like what we usually did. In the package, there is the S5 electric scooter that is folded and surrounded with EPE and foam to protect it from damage during transportation. Besides, there is a user manual, charger, and repair set.

We take the scooter out of the box and install it. It is very easy to install, only need to unfold it and enjoy it. How to unfold the scooter? Just open the folding latch, expanse it, and lock the folding latch to the hole to get it to fasten. If you want to make the scooter stand on the floor, there is a kickstand that can be used. The next thing is to turn on the scooter with long-press the power button for few seconds. After it is powered on, the battery indicator light on the screen will light up to show you the battery capacity.

There is one thing we need to know before riding the scooter is that the scooter is non-zero started. We need to step on with one foot, kick backward with the other foot to gain an initial velocity of about 10km/h, then press the accelerate throttle to make the scooter have constant power, and at last, step your other foot on the pedal and keep balance.

After several times of riding the scooter, my first impression of this vehicle is that it is rather fast and stable to stand on it. I drive the scooter on cement pavement and on the pavement made of bricks, it is quite comfortable, it has a very good shock-absorbing system. It can run through the plastic shock absorber belt and the potholed pavement very easily. The other advantage of this e-scooter is that it is foldable and lightweight. We can take it on an elevator, place it on the trunk of a car and house, it won’t occupy much space.

With it, we can save much time of waiting for the bus and the time on traffic jams, and we can also go to every alley that cars can not enter. And we also can ride it at night for it has a bright LED light. While the disadvantage of this scooter is that we can’t take any luggage in hand while riding it, and it is not waterproof, so we can’t ride it when it is raining. For the price of around $399, it is a rather good choice for commute using purpose, we recommend it.
